partnership among entrepreneurial and experienced data and
telecommunications engineers. Their work has shaped network design
methodology used today. This work includes building the world’s first global
VoIP network, they obtained Frost & Sullivan's 1999 Market
Engineering Customer Focus Award for the Global IP Telephony Services
Market.

Tony Houston
Chief Technology Consultant
Mr. Houston has maintained a leading edge position in systems
integration for the past 18 years. Through those years he has worked in a
consulting capacity with such names as Northern Telecom, Siemens, Oki
Technologies, Standard Micro Systems, NASA, CDC in Atlanta, Emory
University, Delta Airlines, Novell and Microsoft, both domestically and
internationally.
Most recently, a member of Nortel Networks Global Professional
Services Team as a Systems Engineer focusing on the integration and design
of global IP Telephony networks and products. Prior to Nortel, Mr.
Houston was Subject Matter Expert for Convergence Technology with Entex IT
(a subsidiary of Siemens). Most notably as Director of Engineering with
Rapid Link USA, where he lead the design and implementation of the first
global VoIP network using both Public and Private IP. He and his
engineering team received Frost & Sullivan's 1999 Market Engineering
Customer Focus Award for the Global IP Telephony Services Market.
Mr. Houston uses his knowledge of data communications, systems
integration and telecommunications to produce convergent network systems
supporting data, fax, voice and video exchange over Private and Public
Internet-based networks. This work has shaped the protocols and standards
that the future generations of IP-based networks will use.
Mr. Houston is a highly regarded expert in his field, and he presents
and publishes subject papers throughout the industry.
